Ouch! You are correct 40 - 45 minutes to wait is ridiculous when you have a reservation. Next time, try one of the Buckhead Life Restaurants: Atlanta Fish Market, Bistro Nikko, Pricci, Blue Pointe, Buckhead Diner.... I seriously think you can't go wrong with any of the Buckhead Life Restaurants. It is ALWAYS impeccable service when I go there. I went to Bistro Niko last night and had not only spectacular service but incredible food too!

Absolutely terrible service. I will never eat at this restaurant, they will not get a single cent from me. I will say the environment looked nice, and the food smelled great, but I never got to taste this food.

Having even at all of the great steakhouses in the Atlanta metro (Bones, RC, Mortons, et al), I had never made it to the Capital Grille in my three years living here. I thought it would be a great opportunity to try another great restaurant in Atlanta. Boy was I wrong.

I had a reservation for 7:45PM. Upon arrival, I valeted my car. My date and I took the elevator to the 8th floor, and checked in on time. We were told that they were very busy and that there would be a slight delay. It looked a little busy, so I said that it was fine. I had no problem waiting about five minutes (I know I had a reservation, but I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt).

My date and I waited and talked and luckily the time passed. When 8:00PM rolled around, I noticed that some people were clearing out, and I thought I would say something at 8:10 if we still were not given our table. At 8:10PM (25 minutes after my reservation time), I asked if I could get a status update. I was told that I would still have to wait "a bit", and when I asked what "a bit" was, I was told at least another 15-20 minutes (as in 40-45 minutes after my reservation time...at a minimum). I promptly left and took my business to another restaurant that maintains a commitment to their clients.

Needless to say that I will never take a date, a client, or anybody to this restaurant. They will earn no money from me, and when asked about "top restaurants" from visiting clients, I will advise them to avoid The Capital Grille at all costs. 5 minutes late is doable....a minimum of 40-45 minutes is a gross error and a sign of poor management.

I totally understand why some of the resturants are doing so poorly awful food and service. I went into Highland Bakery and had a mouth full of egg shell in my omelette I wonder did they throw the whole egg with shell in it and my friend had hair in her sandwich yuck.Today I went to Savj almost was choked by a hard piece of plastic in my sandwich, that the sandwich maker said came out the mayo..I would say experiences similar to this is keeping people out of Inman Park. Being in the service industry quality and customer service is essential to keeping the doors open.
