The scene was pretty chaotic on the preview day of Jeni’s Ice cream opening in Atlanta. The store was packed full of ice cream lovers anxious to try all flavors Jeni’s has. The extremely friendly and patient staff dolled out taste after taste to the frenzied crowd. I had lots of tastes: Cinderella Pumpkin, Double Toasted Coconut, Queen City Cayenne and the list of interesting flavors goes on and on.
My favorite was the Buckeye State – a combination of peanut butter and dark and dark chocolate. My date’s favorite? The Salty Caramel. A small size (2 scoops of ice cream) is $4.50 and a trio of scoops is $5.50. Pints are available for $12. Even if you aren’t in the area, you can have Jeni’s shipped to you (minimum 4 pints required).
