If it’s been a while since you visited Food 101, there’s a new reason to head over the Sandy Springs restaurant: Barrel Bar. The space focuses on small plates and Bourbon cocktails. We were invited to sample some of the food and cocktails.

There are about 14 bourbon cocktails on the menu. The house speciality is the Barrel Bar Manhattan. We tried Bourbon Punch and the Buffalo Rose (our favorite) with Aperol, Mint, and Raspberry Puree, both served in mason jars.

The food includes items like beef jerky, deviled eggs, beef sliders. However, there are unique items like Beet hummus, bacon-wrapped pears and the Scotch Egg – Chorizo, Tortilla and spicy mayo.

Barrel Bar is a great spot to meet up with friends for a drink and snack or two.
