Formerly known as Ray’s Killer Creek, now Ray’s on the Creek, isn’t the only change at this Alpharetta Restaurant. The restaurant has freshened up the interior too. While it was pretty before, the new look has a modern feel to it. The color is brighter and the finishing touches like the ropes around the hanging light fixtures are too cute. I stopped in for the lunch the other day and was spoiled by Chef Tracey Bloom with a bevy of new menu offerings.
The new lunch menu features affordably priced lunch options. Some are just ten bucks and come with your choice of iced tea, soft drink or coffee. We loved the chicken salad sandwich, complete with truffle oil and the grilled chicken as well. This ain’t no healthy grilled chicken, topped with bacon, cheese and fried onions, but it sure was tasty. Fried oyster sliders (pictured below) are included in the $10 lunch offering.
The prices are rather low for such an upscale place. Even the items like the trout which isn’t on the $10 menu is still extremely affordable at only $14. It comes with chorizo and green beans with a buttery sherry broth. I highly recommend splurging for the decadent mac ‘n cheese. Oh and do save some room for the dessert. Choose from chocolate cake, carrot cake and my pick for Taste of Atlanta’s best dessert: panna cotta.
