Generous Pour Wine Event at The Capital Grille

Apertif - Rose

The Generous Pour Wine event offers guests the chance to taste nine varietals ranging from bubbly to full-bodied reds to a sweet dessert wine. These wines are selected by Master Sommelier, George Miliotes – Twitter @TheWineExpert – Tweet him, he’ll tweet you back! I was recently invited in to sample these wines along with dinner.

Try all nine rare and limited vintage varietals or choose multiple servings of your favorites– all for just $25 per person (with dinner entree purchase) from now through September 2. The collection includes wines from all over – France, California, South Africa and Italy. So no region is excluded. I loved that I was able to try wines that would normally be out of price range like the Conn Creek Anthology, Cabernet, 2007 and the Villa Mt. Eden Grand Reserve, Pinot Noir, 2007.

I quite enjoyed the Rose I was anxious to try the Simcic (pictured below), a white wine, referred to as “orange wine” which is gaining popularity. It was different but not a standout to me. My favorites were the Conn Creek Anthology, Cabernet, 2007, which went perfectly with my steak. However, I could sip the Villa Mt. Eden Grand Reserve, Pinot Noir, 2007 all night long by itself. So deliciously smooth, no wonder it is one of Master Sommelier George Miliotes personal favorites. View all the wines available during the Generous Pour Wine Event here.

What I was most surprised by is how much I enjoyed the South African dessert wine. The Mer Soleil Late wasn’t too sweet but the perfect compliment to our desserts. In talking with Managing Partners, Ricardo Barraza, he shared with me this dessert wine has become so popular they will mostly likely run out before the event is over. But no doubt George Miliotes has another gem picked out in its place. Don’t forget the Generous Pour Wine event at The Capital Grille ends on September 2, so you have less than three weeks to take advantage.

Dumb movie and is full of false info. Yes fast food is bad for you unless eaten in moderation. Cooking lean meat at home is very healthy if prepared right. Quit pushing your veggie agenda and brainwashing people that meat is bad.
