Euphoria Food, Wine and Music festival features talent from as far north as New York City and Toronto and as far west as California. If you can’t tell how lovely this weekend was by my writing alone, then hopefully my pictures captured a glimpse of how just, well, Euphoric, it was.
While I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the weekend, there were no doubt some experiences I liked more than others. And I realize not all budgets allow for the VIP experience. So, I’m highlighting some of the best parts of the Euphoria Food and Wine Festival in Greenville. All of these are available to be purchased independently.
Taste of the South (Friday)

The Taste of the South is the perfect kickoff to the weekend. Mosy on down to the Wychee Pavillion, the beautiful brick open air center where lots of restaurants are serving tastes of their best dishes. Wash it all down with a Sweetwater 420, (holla!) then nab your spot on the lawn to hear some fantastic live music from Edwin McCain and friends.
Wine Pairing Dinner (Saturday)

Tasty food and awesome beverages? What’s not to love. You have your choice of several wine dinners, a beer dinner or a spirits dinner. How cool is that? Euphoria brings in wine experts to work with restaurant chefs and the result is one incredible meal.
Sunday Supper

This is what I was anticipating all weekend long. We were not only treated to some awesome farm-to-table Southern fare by James Beard winner, Sean Brock, but the setting was beautiful. And we also listened to the stylings of a talented Bluegrass band. I could have not asked for a better wrap up to the weekend.
New this year:
Recipe of a Rhapsody
Blues Music. Your ticket includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, an array of fantastic beverage selections and an unforgettable concert experience.
Beer Garden
Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm. Sample over 40 styles of their best brews and learn a little while you’re at it! Euphoria welcomes a variety of local and regional breweries to downtown Greenville.
Saturday night Champagne Dinner at Nantucket Seafood Grill
Guest Chef and James Beard Nominee Colby Garrelts of Bluestem Restaurant in Kansas City, MO teams up with Nantucket’s Executive Chef, Charles Handford, for one of euphoria’s coveted Saturday Dinners, featuring perfectly paired champagne from Moet, with Beverage Professional Laura Williamson.
Event after event at Euphoria Food, Wine and Music festival went off without a hitch. Even the newest event – the Sunday Supper was delightful, free from any glitches. Euphoria 2012 is coming up soon. Dates are Thursday, September 20 to Sunday, September 23. You won’t want to miss it. Stay for all or part of the weekend based on your preference.
