Remember Skyblox from a couple months ago? Maybe you saw some of their signs in local businesses and restaurants around the ATL. Skyblox provides free WI-FI in these establishments. Well, ScoutMob is brought to you by the folks who started Skyblox.

So, the tagline is “Curious Local Finds. Absurd Mobile Deals.” The new site highlights cool things to do around Atlanta and local personalities. But the real cool thing, at least to a bargain hunter like me, are the 50% off deals they have. You just sign up via email or cell (they won’t spam you) and the deal is sent to your phone or inbox.

The cost? Nada. Yep, that’s right. Move over Groupon and Restaurant.com, ScoutMob is absolutely free. I’ve signed up for 2 deals so far. Half off at No Mas Cantina and half off at Murphy’s Restaurant. Now, keep in the mind the deals are only good for (on average) 3 months, but hey, it cost you nothing, so what do you care?

Got an iPhone? I’m jealous. But seriously, ScoutMob has an iPhone app that will send you all the deals directly and you can just pull it up and show to your server, no need to print it out.
