Whether you’re a professional BBQ cook or a backyard warrior, there’s a new competition for you. It is the 1st Annual Atlanta Bar-B-Q Festival held Saturday, September 12 at Turner Field. The winner of the Atlanta BBQ Cookoff will get to sell their BBQ at a Braves game at Turner Field at one game in 2010. Oh, they’ll also win $1500! The categories are appearance, taste and texture. BBQ will be enjoyed all day long on Saturday, September 12th, from 10 am – 6 pm in the Green Lot at Turner Field. Admission to the festival area is free. Featured music acts will play during the day and there is also a children’s area for the kids to play.
