Cheap AND Healthy Fast Food Options

Everyone’s watching their pennies these days and a couple bucks doesn’t go very far. Combined that with the fact that we are all pressed for time, it’s not surprising that Americans are drawn to fast-food value menus. It also explains why fast food companies are expected to thrive in the tanking economy.

I know I’ve hit the drive through on my lunch hour more times than I should, and every once in a while, its ok, but many Americans hit the drive through daily. So, while it may be a timesaver and you feel good about ordering of the value menu, it can take its toll on your health .

You can easily take in more than 1,000 calories at lunch alone. That is nearly half the recommended daily intake of calories for the entire day for many of us. But the good news is this can be avoided. Many fast food establishments have added healthier options to their value menu. Listed below are 5 fast food lunches that are not only low in cost but low in fat and calories.
